Tomáš KRIST Winery
The winery was founded by Tomáš Krist in 1996 and thus continued the family tradition. From the outset, he set a clear goal: To become an absolute leader. It is located in the village of Milotice near Kyjov, where he manages 55 ha of his own vineyards. In 2000 he launched the first five wines, in 2001 there were fifteen of them. The winery currently offers over fifty types of bottled wine. The winery uses both grapes of its own production and grapes bought mostly from family members. The principle is year-round supervision of the vineyards from which the grapes are bought.
This year Tomáš Krist modernized the cellar and completely equipped it with the latest technology of stainless steel tanks with controlled fermentation. Since last year it also has a new technology for production of red wines. He is of the opinion that good wine cannot be made without good technology.
Tomáš Krist sees his position as a small Moravian winemaker as a challenge, he is convinced that special series of wines are a way for small winemakers to succeed in the market. His credo - to only market the bottles he believes he has made the most for - means the story of success not only in the present time. His greatest achievements include winning 9 medals - 6 golden and 3 silver at the VINALIES INTERNATIONALES PARIS in 2019, which no one has ever achieved in the duration of the contest, and the absolute champions at the GASTRONOMIC PARIS, VINS DE TERROIR and ROSÉ WINE GUIDE MONACO.
